The above explanations of the pathophysiology of sinusitis and the separate problem of migraine are not at all accurate. Over the last 50 years the inflammatory process in general is understood in a much more precise, accurate and detailed manner. While the underlying causal mechanisms of migraine are not understood as well as those of acute and chronic sinusitis, it is important for people to know that modern science has progressed much beyond having to explain things in terms of air, water, fire, earth and space.
