Venantius,

I dare say that Damu Naik was aggressive. I think he conducted the deliberations much better than the ex CM and his coleague in the BJP, Shri. Manohar Parrikar
did.

On a different note, yesterday's session with the Ex CM as the chairman of the HOME portfolio, when I opened up on the Singapore type of governance in Goa and when I said if such a governance was implemented in Goa, most of the 40 MLAs and half of the Police force would be behind bars, the Ex CM retorted saying that Singapore can afford to have the governance since it is a one party democracy. I just said that it was a matter of will and I did not want to waste more time as I had all of 16 points to cover and a lot of people waiting for their turn. But if there was time, I would have wanted to retort by saying thus: That the people of Singapore are more than satisfied with the performance of the PAP Party ruling since its independence after the world war II not needing any other party to come in and play spoil sport. As a matter of fact I have personally heard Lee Kwan Yew (now the senior minister and the Ex Prime Minister) say during one of the election rallys in Singapore the same thing. He also said that quote We in the PAP nurture and train younger leaders to occupy leading positions. But sometimes we do get rotten apples. In this case we gradually guide them towards the back door so that they may exit without being hurt.

Rest assured, Goa will see the Singapore type of democracy in Goa when the people of Goa are ready, nay ripe for it through the Goa Su-Raj Party. And there shall be no need for any other party to exist because none will be able to compete with GSRP for performance.

At the moment, it seems that the people of Goa either do not know what democracy is all about or they want this hotch potch of a democracy to rule them year in and year out. The democracy that we presently have, I mean, which is heading only in one direction. That is over the cliff.

It is dismal to hear how such meetings are conducted. Was Mr. Damu Naik of
Fatorda, asking Floriano Lobo for a solution, a genuine query or tantamount
to an aggressive posture? In such a situation is it up to the aggrieved to
offer solutions, or does it merely amount to "tum kitem kortollo tem pouya "
or "sang baba amkam, ami tujem aikonc toyar assat.".................................
