This conversion sanad (http://www.parrikar.org/images/RTI/varca-1.jpg) was issued on 5/5/2008. Now, if you go back to my series "Wrecking Salcette" posted some weeks ago, you can see a picture or two of the project by "Getmore Developments" cited in the above sanad. That begs the questions: (a) Was this sanad issued for the project photographed or is this another Getmore project? Matching the survey number would confirm it one way or the other but I do not have a photo of any board displaying the survey number at the site I visited. (b) If the sanad is indeed for the same project, how did the project begin before the sanad was issued? Note that my photograph was taken on April 28, 2008, and already a fair amount of construction had taken place by that time. Is there a loophole where you can begin construction before a sanad is issued? At any rate, these are issues the concerned villagers of Varca may wish to pursue. Regards, r
