Goa executive magistrates to be available on holidays GOA GOVERNMENT with a view to give solace to public have made executive magistrate available on holidays too. Following the grievances of the general public with regards to the difficulties faced by them in executing affidavits before the executive magistrate for the purpose of obtaining income certificates, government took this decision.
In these days public flock to magistrate offices to get income certificates in connection with obtaining ration quota for above poverty line (APL) category of ration card holders. The District Administration has also organised a special drive for such APL ration card holders whose income is not more than one lakh rupees. The special drive is fixed on 19th and 20th July 2008 in the office of Mamlatdar, Mormugao as well as office or court room of deputy collector or SDO Mormugao. The district collector has drafted nine executive magistrates for the above purpose on the above dates who shall be available to the public for the execution of their affidavits on the above dates and place from 10am to 5:30pm on both the general public of Mormugao taluka. General public are requested to bring along with them their photo identity documents such as electoral photo identity card (EPIC) etc in addition to their identity being verified by such person known to the magistrate.
