The Election Commission of India has given approval to the Chief Electoral Officer, Maharashtra for a Special Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls, with respect to 1st January 2008 as the qualifying date, from 7th August 2008. The schedule is as follows:- 1.Draft Publication of Photo Electoral Rolls Thursday 7th August 2008 2.Dates for receiving claims and objections from 7th to 22nd August 2008 3.Special Campaign Dates - Saturday 9th August, Sunday 10th August, Sunday 17th August and Tuesday 19th August [public holiday] 2008 4.Disposal of Claims and objections - Upto 7th September 2008 5.Preparation of Supplementary Lists and printing of Final Photo Electoral Rolls - upto 22nd September 2008 6.Final Publication of Photo Electoral Rolls on Thursday 25th September 2008 All Ward Coordinators are requested to please publicise this schedule in their wards and localities, housing societies etc. and ensure that all those who have not been listed fill Form 6 and get registered. should get in touch with the Returning Officer of your Assembly Constituency Election Office and offer co-operation for the special revision make plans for joint efforts for the special campaign dates as mentioned above. should get in touch with the networking NGOs, CBOs and Resident Associations so that the Voters List will be a true one.
