Much like the Biblical patriarch Abraham, Agnelo says he is the genesis of the
growing Goan tribe in Swindon. He moved here from the Gulf some twenty years
ago. He knew the then manager of the Rover assembly plant and was instrumental
in getting jobs for Goans. From this humble seedling, a mighty tree has grown.

These people do not have to bribe, they choose to do so, this way they bring
the quality of britishness down to Indian-ness.
I know of one gentleman who recently has come from Dubai to settle in UK.
He could have very well settled anywhere in UK.
He chose Swindon, and then complains the livng and working conditions in the
factory are bad. Yet, this same person boasted (before coming to UK) that he
had enough Dubai money to buy two houses in UK and a brand new car.
