Talking Photos: When was the last time you had Shark Amott-Tik ? I must have been to Dobitalao for more than 25 times mainly before 1988 for Metro Cinema and catching Mumbai-Goa Buses which depart from there on the popular fashion Street. Very near to it is the equally famous ‘Miraculous Cross’ at Cross Maidan See pic here –Holy Cross http://www.flickr.com/photos/joegoaukindia/2809963715/sizes/l/
Ok, when was the last time you tasted ‘Mori-amott Tik’ ? Me , I think after 15 years ( I wish my wife could cook all these Goan stuff) And I had it at Bombay, Dobitalao on 27th & 28th Aug. 2008 at SNOW FRY (?) 18/20 Rebeiro Building, Ground Floor, 1st Dobitalao Lane, Bombay- 2. I think there are many other joints around that area serving Goan food. Nearest Goan Clubs (Kud) seen were of Carmona, Nuvem etc. It’s opp Metro Cinema. What I could not get in Goa, I felt I got it in Bombay. And did not mind travelling some Kms to get here every night.. Goans in that area may say ‘Antiguer’ There was no board outside, on enquiry the waiter also Goan (from Canacona) told us a new board coming up within two days and the name of the restaurant is ‘Snow Fry’ ( I was not too sure about it). Another favorite of mine there was fried ‘Tal’le’ sardines and on the previous day we had rice with fresh mackerel curry (with whole half mackerel).
