*CopaGoa: Siolim Union book their place in finals* Dubai:Siolim Union advanced into the CopaGoa finals by beating Canacona to a score of 2-0.It was good start for both teams who made good moves & wanted to be the first to get the ball to the back of the net of their opponent, but Siolim Union-Dubai (Lebanese Insurance Co) were the first to beak the lock in the 5th minute, Johnny struck a dramatic shot inside the Canacona ?D? to beat the defense and keeper who were totally lost with the shot. The rest of half both saw both the sides making deep forays to score.
In the second half both teams kept penetrating and made moves but their attempts did not bear any fruit, and besides Siolim Union-Dubai experienced defense stopped their opponents from any goal scoring opportunity. [image: Copa Goa] In the Exibition match between BOMBAY XI and GOA XI, Bombay XI emerged winners giving a score of 2-1.The game was very fast paced as it was a selection of best of the players from all the teams that exited the tournament and others who could not make it to any teams due to their busy work schedules. Bombay XI went into the lead in the 10th minute with a goal from Steven Gurung making no mistake in placing the ball nowhere close to the Goan keeper. After the breather Goa XI got the equalizer in the 5th minute through a beautiful long range shot almost 40 yards by Dominic straight into the Bombay net and the keeper probably did not even see the ball pass him. Bombay XI bounced back to the lead in the dying minutes of the game when their defender was brought down in the Goan D that ended in a penalty & Myron made no mistake in converting the spot kick.
