My absence was because because I was in Goa. I felt relatively safe
even though there were numerous attacks taking place in parts of India
against Christians. South Goa has a large minority of Goan Catholics
and Navelim even more so.

Parrikar the opposition leader had stated (I read this in the local
Newspaper) that he was concerned that attacks against Christians were
taking place in nearby Karnataka and measures had to be taken in Goa
to protect the minority. How noble of the man; it would have been even
more appreciated if he had castigated the BJP rulers in the States in
which these attacks were taking place.

He has publicly stated that he follows the ideology of the
BJP....which osensibly means the Bajrang Dal and Hindutva brigade.
This ideology is also followed by one Bhandare, no longer on this
forum. These chappies then turn around and say they have no ill
feelings towards Christians, I buy it, although thousands don't.
