RESPONSE: Get curiouser and curiouser, Stockholm syndrome with a twist, I suppose as the girl is not in a confined environment. My fear is that she could be receiving instructions from colleagues/so called friends to drop the case/issue. I know from experience that this can be very compelling, people feel sorry for Rohit - he could go to prison and so on and so forth; everyone forgets the victim...suggestions that she is loose. This does is not an excuse for sex with an under aged girl, which in India is statutory rape. No ifs and no buts, the girl may even have been the initiator, excuse me but the law is the law! The Monserattes are maintaining that their son is not stupid to have done such a thing. Now the crux is, will she or won't she? Irrespective of what Aires and her mother says - she, herself, has to spell it out to the cops or all is lost and Aires got his butt kicked in and his fingers chopped for what? A stupid girl who, now won't play ball?
