My son is innocent! (PG)
PG: Before the start, let me warn you, some may find this offensive or inappropriate or rather disgusting. So, please look away now. AS USUAL, I DO WISH TO SCORE SOME NEGATIVE POINTS TOO ..but it all comes from my conscious though (excerpt, sometimes, when I talk about myself). My son is innocent. Now, Home Minister Ravi says ‘My son in innocent’ Just before that Education Minister Babush said ‘My son is innocent’ (it was later on found out that the lewd or sexy sms did come from the mobile phone belonging to the Education Minister himself) Recently, there was a fight amongst the school kids, as the school authority called us both to say our son (11) is also involved. His mother said ‘My son is innocent’ but father did not say anything though as he knew what his son is capable of. Now, let’s talk about daughters.. How innocent is your daughter sir/madam? The other day, we were travelling in a city bus from Miramar to KTC bus stand. There was a young couple (very young) must be both around 14 (in school uniform). Both of them were in the back seat by the window. The last seat being a 5 seater, we two were in the same seat by the other window. As I was looking out through the window, she was trying to tell me something with here elbow gently but repeatedly touching me. I said what? With her eyes and funny face, she directed my attention to the other end of the seat. Vow!! What a sensation!! The two were kissing each other.. and it was not just a ‘cheek kiss’ but it was a passionate and long French kiss. (I saw a similar scene in a Vasco bus too) - What is French Kiss like? Well, children in Goa as young as 14 do it and you saying you really don’t know? OK, I would define it as ‘tongue to tongue kiss’ where no one (not even the kissers) sees their tongues during the French Kiss session. - So how do they know all these things which we didn’t at their age? Put the blame on Internet, MMS, Sex videos, TV etc which we did not have at our times. Talking about kissing, it reminds me of my moments about 3 years ago when I used to live near Miramar. While we were in a city restaurant, there was group of girls and boys. Through eye contact etc, somehow I managed to make friendship with a tall average looking girl. After the dinner, I walked along with them to the nearest tourist hostel, we sat down under the trees for sometime, just two of us, as it was darker- she suddenly asked me if I could kiss her (and that it's late now and she had to go..)…I said no…She tried herself. I moved away… she was upset: Are you a gay o what? … Listen, I said, kissing never solve my problems they only start them. OK, I can only kiss if you are willing to provide a solution for the resulting problems ....you disgusting she said and left me (went back to her hostel which was just 10/15 mtrs away). 'Maka papui nam ani punnem-i nam' Let’s come back to our topic – youngsters, i mean, below 16 let me tell you, many young girls in Goa are already booked while they are still at school. That could also mean, by the age of 15, they are expert. I mean, they taste everything including the biblical forbidden fruit - apple. Gone are the days where lovers exchanged pages of love letters. Now, the whole night lovers talk hours over the phone, I mean cell to cell. Which also reminds me of something called 'phone sex' After a year or two, sometimes, things do go wrong.. When you can’t get it the way you want.. one may even go to such an extent where the boy is accused of raping, sexual assault etc. Similarly, when the parents find out the secret love affair of their daughter etc, they may also accuse the boy of sexually assault etc ( including sending lewd sms ) Let’s take a recent happenings from Goa. Where we read about a young school girl being rapped by 4 boys in about 15 hrs long time (boys age group being around 20). When we read this type of things, it is a typical of us to say ‘the boy/s to blame and they should be severely punished’ How about the girls? Should we not blame them simply because they are 16 or less? Or perhaps, since she is a child, should we blame the parents? She was not so ‘innocent’ for God sake! And I am sure, it was not her first time too. She left the house around 7.30am with school uniform and then changed it with a churridar in a public loo before she went out with a boy on his bike. See? Everything was well planned. On her return, she never complained, it was her mother who forced her to spit out as she returned home very late just before midnight. This things do happen now in Goa like everywhere else but most go unnoticed. And it’s all part of generation gap. 15 years ago, I read somewhere (not on internet) that American do it as young as 12. I wonder at what age has come down to now after 15 years of gap? About 10yrs ago, at my work place (in UK), I asked one of my girlfriends. When and where was your first..? When? She said ‘ I was 13.5’ Where? She said ‘in a phone box’ Folks, whether you believe or not, these things (underage sex) do happen in Goa too. Perhaps, it is a time now to bring down the age of sexual consent to 15 if not 14 (I mean, same age group partners) In some countries, it is as low as 12, even in our India, Manipur state has it at 14 or even 13. Lower age of sexual consent could mean less police complaints and lesser court cases at Children court. But in reality, who really cares about the Country’s laws or for that matter who cares about legal age of sexual consent?
