Albert writes:- The Roman Catholics that we call ourselves do not give much importance to the Bible. The church uses very little part of the bible when it comes for mass. Three readings are not enough to know Christ, to know the Almighty God. Our whole religion is based on Egyptian religion followed before the arrival of Christ. The belief of Sun God, return of the dead on all soul days and our certain customs speak volumes that we still do not know Christ. Role of Mary was not to become parrallel God but to bring Jesus to the world. What does the Church practice today ? Just feast of Mary in different names. She may be the mother of God's only son Jesus but she is not to be called mother of God because God cannot have a mother. We do not respect the living but try to make a big show of the dead. We clean the graves periodically. We wear black clothes but when the same person was alive we might have dumped him or her in the home for the aged. I had an opportunity to visit one such home. There was a young old lady sitting in her room .There was a big flower basket on the table with a big "Many happy returns of the day dearest Mamma." I told her she ought to be happy that she has received this big flower basket. Who wants a flower basket? who wants this cake ? My son did not find time to come and wish me on this day. His father died when I was expecting. I had no proper job nor education. I had to work in people's homes to give my son a decent living, a decent education. I sent him to college because I wanted him to stand on his own legs. He did it. Now I am old .I need very little food. very little pleasures. I just wanted to live with my only son whom I had given everything. He can't give me a small piece of room in my own house . He can't spend little money to bring a nurse to help me .He has money to spend on his children's birthday parties. Tomorrow when I die he may build tombs on my grave which I cannot see.He may wear black clothes to show people around that he cared for me. He may shed some few crocodile tears to show people that he loved me. I will not be there to see all these.
