Dear Mario,
At the outset, I must make it clear to you that I am not going to contest
what you have stated. Mostly, I do agree with your excellent analysis and I
have realized that I have perhaps made use of wrong words. I am no expert on
American politics and neither am I conversant with Obama's history or
for that matter McCain's. The point I wanted to make is that 'this American
election was electrically charged with the electoral college votes doing the
heap up job as never before on Obama's side largely accredited to the youth
of America. And I have seen the fever in their eyes at the Chicago's Grand
Park.
Obama, as you rightly point out, belongs to the Democratic pipeline and will
roll out in the manner the pipeline is built with all its inherent bends and
twists. If he is going to do the plumbing job on the pipeline to straighten
his
trajectory, and if at all he will be allowed to do so, is a million dollar
question.
All that I have been hinting at is that Goa must experience a similar
electrically charged atmosphere during the next Goa's Assembly elections.
Goa Su-Raj is dye-cast into a model by itself and can hardly afford to
adopt Obama as a role model or shift its selling point from one to another.
No sir! This will not be done and cannot be done. All that it needs is the
Obama type electrically charged election in Goa where Goan youth will
play the same role that the youth of America played to get Obama victorious.
In any case, even if the Republicans wanted to have a grip on Obama's
winning streak, they couldn't. Cause this particular elections was far too
slippery than anyone could imagine. It just slid nay slipped out of hand.
And that is
exactly what Goa needs with the 'System of Governance' put in place on paper
with
co-relating procedures to match it all the way. For Goa's Obama will not be
any one particular charismatic person or persons. If that happens, then
surely Goa is doomed to stay failed. Goa's Obama must be the 'System ' that
Goa Su-Raj has put in place which is beyond the challenging distance from
the
'systems' run by BJP, Congress or both collectively. And just like in the
case of Obama's victory which is directly a result of the participation by
the mass of youth, Goa needs to follow in the same footsteps or remain
unchanged a failure.

The world sat up shock-surprised to watch the Barack Obama phenomenon
dismantling the over two century old tradition of electing the white-man
into the Oval Office.
Mario observes:
Floriano,
You make it sound as if there was some conspiracy to elect only white men
to the Oval Office, rather than the emergence of a likely candidate who
happens to be half-black. If he was Indian he may have been using skin
lightening creams.
.
I'm not saying Obama is personally corrupt, his personal odyssey is
inspiring, but the Chicago political tradition he comes from is corrupt,
so I would be careful of using his political background as a model for Goa
Suraj.
