Special Issue of Goencho Avaz hits the news stands
The special issue of Goencho Avaz is out on the stands. Edited by the
renowned journalist Julio D'Silva, this issue (published in English and
Konkani in the Roman script) takes a critical look at the progress made by
Goa ever since it attained Statehood with special articles on different
aspects written by people involved in that particular field.
Leader of Opposition Manohar Parrikar takes a critical look at the
administration while Ex-Tourism Minister Matanhy Saldanha writes about the
constant struggles of the traditional fishermen. Former Education Department
Director Bonfilio da Cruz has written about the education system, Soter R.
Barreto on Konkani language and Soter de Souza about the functioning of the
Panchayats in Goa.
