My dear brothers and sisters.
Today the Roman Catholic Church speaks about the baptism of Jesus. At thirty
Jesus received baptism. He wanted to be baptised and be with the Lord. It was
here that God openly declared that Jesus was the son of God. We were baptised
when we did not know anything. What does baptism mean to us ? Practically
nothing for we are not born with the Lord. For Roman Catholics the religion
means studying something by heart and reciting like a parrot. We were
forcefully asked to study cathesism. How many of us really know the meaning of
living God ? We still believe in statues and give so much importance that the
word of God mean nothing to us. That is the reason there is practically no
change with each and every one who visit the catholic church. Had we to read
the scriptures and nourished by the words in that we would be another person
altogether. We are the same persons from the time we were born. We are parrots
who can recite everything while our hearts are filled with dirt.How many of us
really know who Jesus is ? Jesus is the son of man born to a virgin through the
power of God. Jesus is the way of life and those who go to him will be saved
because he is the gap between man and God. Only those who believe in Jesus
believe in God and only those who have faith in Jesus have faith in the one who
have sent him. The bible gives us strength. It gives us peace. It gives us
courage to live into this troubled world. Many of our sicknesses and worries
would have blown away only if we knew there was the creator who gave you life
and promised to look after you. Only if we knew that just as we think we love
God whom we cannot see we had to love His creations the world would have been a
better place to live. Today we have faith in man rather than God. Jerimias
chapter 12 tells us what happens when we have too much trust in Man and have
trust in God. Do we have time to read then read Jerimias chapter by chapter and
see what the Lord has to say. Jermias was found talking directly to God and God
was talking to him too. Instead of reciting unwanted prayers half of it we are
not aware what we are saying it is better to close our eyes and just think of
our loving God and talk to Him and tell him what you want. Our father which we
recite like parrots during rosary, funerals and every time we think we can pray
has many steps.
