Goa: A traveler's paradise
Kissed by a passionate azure sea, Goa, the tiny emerald land on the west
coast of India, has a lot to offer to its visitors. Renowned for its
beaches, places of worship and natural heritage, Goa is visited by
countless tourists each year..

LAVISHLY GIFTED by nature and known for its colonial charm, Goa is also
known as 'pearl of the orient'. It is located on the western coast of
India in the coastal belt known as Konkan.
Known to the world for its beautiful beaches and scenic beauty, Goa is
indeed a paradise. And monsoon brings in scores of tourists who want to
enjoy its rain-drenched beaches.
"It is different to visit Goa during the rainy season. The waves,
beautiful climate... everything is really good here. Everybody comes in
the peak seasons but one should also come here during the monsoon
season. It is really good," said a tourist, Mukhtar Natwar.
Looking for something different?
Just 43 miles far from the state capital Panjim, diehard trekkers can
discover the unexplored areas in the rain-drenched deciduous forests of
Surla.
The lush green valleys at high altitudes, surrounded by cascading
waterfalls in Surla, offer an unparalleled view of nature.
"I have been coming here for last three years and it's one of the most
beautiful spots in Goa. Many people are not aware of it. I like to come
here because of the beautiful views," said KS Gowekar, a tourist.
Done with the sight seeing and looking for some adventure?
Goa is fast becoming a haven for speedsters. It is one of the best
places for the go-karting tracks. Goa has one of the top three kart
racing tracks in India. A ride on these high speed mini cars provide fun
and excitement similar to that on formula racing cars.
"It's fun, it's exhilarating, when you go and when the wind goes
dripping in your hair and the stuff. It's totally different from the
other cars and stuff like that," said Elissa, tourist.
One of the best things to do in Goa is shopping at its local markets.
The famous Anjuna Flea Market that came into existence with the hippies
auctioning their belongings in a bid to spend some more time here is an
ideal place for souvenir hunting. For all those form of junk jewellery,
the flea market is the ideal destination.
One may find foreigners, in 'lungis', matching to the Goan setting, are
good sellers of their products.
Getting to Goa is easy. The nearest airport is 40 miles away from
Panjim, the capital. The nearest railway station is at Panjim. It is
well connected by road as well. The best time to visit Goa is between
July to October and December to February. Accommodation is available for
30 to 300 US dollars at Panjim
Sunset!...The end of the day...and the beginning of the nightlife. The
beach side pubs provide a perfect environ for chilling out while
enjoying the hip-hop music in the Goan setting.
Goa holds out the promise of adding some golden moments to your
memories.
