No, I did not miss the famous 'inaugural speech' as also every thing (BBC) leading to that. And I was disapointed. For I felt that he could speak half as much but put more emotional punch into it just like he did with his Victory Speech.

And I thought he flunked at his oath taking too. But that, of course, is expected in a charged atmosphere that it was.

But the worst thing that could happen, according to me, is the complete massacre of the singing of the American National Anthem.
I couldn't even make out that the national anthem was being sung.

And after watching all that extravaganza, I thought to myself.
'Why did Barack Hussein Obama not choose to have a quiet and simple inauguration, especially at the time of the world economic melt-down? This could have added a thing or two to his being serious about the change he wants to bring in the world.

I may be wrong, nay I hope I am wrong, but I think Barack Hussein Obama has missed the bus, after all, to start with. And the simple indication of this is: My eyes remained bone dry, and at times dozing off, through his inaugural speech.
