To Goanet - I just peeped into Goanet after a long time and saw one Merwyn someone quote the doofus Tom Friedman who in turn is quoting the Indian doofus Shekhar Gupta. Some years ago we had Friedman take an inane, trite quote of Nandan Nilekani and parlay it into a book. That has made Friedman a hero to Indians starved for Western certification.
To those who don't know - Friedman is a certified donkey who has simply lucked out and gotten a slot on prime newsprint real estate that is the NYT. He is a laughing stock of both the liberal and conservative commentariat in America. The most devastating, not to mention entertaining, laceration of Friedman comes from the pen of Matt Taibbi.
