Albert writes:- Roman catholics fast two times in the year. One on Ash
wednesday and the other on Good Friday. I do not fast because I believe that
Jesus christ has taken with him all our sins, our unhappiness and sorrow to the
Cross when He died for our salvation. Now that we have received salvation
through Jesus Christ, and that we are bonded to the body of Jesus Christ it is
time to rejoice. One does not attend a wedding or feast and fast. Where do you
want to place your self with the jews who fasted by putting ashes on their body
and having a gloomy face or in the path of our Lord the Heavenly Father where
this earth has been created by Him to give us eternal happiness first on earth
and then in the next. Those who fast have a horrible life. Some have dumped
their parents in the homes or left unattended. Some have divorced their wives
with scant love for their children. Some have dragged their brothers or sisters
to the court for gaining property of the parents whom we did not want to care
.Today look at the sorrow of people. Just go to any doctor's clinic and see the
hai and hui of the people come there because they have sickness which the
doctor cannot cure, or at the office of the famous lawyer to take stock of
their cases lying in the courts. Some people attend masses everyday for they
feel they have to begin their day with a mass but on their way home they do not
feel bad to talk about their daughter in law or neighbour or sometimes their
husband . How horrible all these people are that the saint (one who attends
mass) finds it difficult to live with them. While our lips are busy reciting
some incipid prayers our hearts belong to the devil. We have no time to see to
the poor who are struggling in this world.
