Response: The example given by you is far from appeasement. It is sheer exploitation. I suggest you refer to the dictionary to understand the meaning of appeasement. This exploitation is done by all parties, whether Congress, BJP, SP, NCP, CPM, BSP, JD, etc. I do however, agree with you that the muslim community lacks good leaders with foresight, and to some extent are responsible for their own backwardness. The happenings in Pakistan (in Swat) are a grim reminder of how much can go wrong when extremists are allowed to get away lightly.
