Mario and the minority who are proponents of the rather hard to believe claims
of Global Cooling (see link below to Mario's post), are free to live in their
imaginary universe.

What really matters is what industry thinks. The fact is, even oil companies
accept the inevitable and are moving towards a zero carbon future. In concert
with this, government regulations around the world are moving in this direction
as well. Last but not least, technology will in the near future make fossil
fuels less of a necessity.

Perhaps Mario is unaware of the changes taking place in the business world,
maybe because he has not had to work in real world for a long time. Mario can
continue to live in the past (or a parallel universe) if he so chooses. That is
after all his free will.

The above statement is false. The Republican senator's blog does not provide
links to any peer-reviewed scientific studies at all. Almost all of the links
are to other political blogs (such as "Climatepolice.com", many of which deny
that global warming is taking place in the first place), and to news items in
popular media websites, with sensational titles such as "Al Gore is a
greenhouse gas bag".
