If you take a closer look at the slums in Bandra and Mahim these days you
will see many with second stories now, some with sattelite dishes and TVs,
some with refrigerators and PCs, using bootlegged electricity. I saw kids
in Catholic school uniforms who live there.
Wearing school uniforms, doesn't always mean they go to school. Bandra
church used to collect used clothes from parishners to be given to the
needy, and those who could not afford to cloth themselves...
