Goa has irreversibly been destroyed environmentally and there are few left interested in saving Goa and Goans for future generations. A corrupt political system and the complete breakdown of law and order have laid waste a once great land. Even tourists are not safe in Goa.
A number of people are to blame: greedy builders, the mining industry, Goan politicians, "real-estate" agents, Goans (those who live in Goa, Goans in India, and Goan expats have all contributed to the decay either through inaction or their actions).
