Hi Gabriel,

Permit me to give you and others some factual information on acupuncture in the
USA.  In our town in upstate New York,  several doctors provide acupuncture
treatment, which is an approved treatment by several insurance carriers. Some
acupuncturists are family doctors, while others are specialists like physiatry
and anesthesiology.  Some practice only acupuncture and they have a good
practice. Once again, this suggest that the treatment works; and patients pass
the word and the reputation of these doctors to their friends and
acquaintances.

There is the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture (AAMS) homepage that will
give you much information of the association and a link to their scientific
journal, including how to get trained and obtain certification in the field.

The following link provides which states permit acupuncture, and the
requirements needed.

Similarly for factual information on homeopathy, you could go to the source,
which is the American Institute of Homeopathy. The website for board
certification in Homeotherapeutics is:

Hope the above information will give you and others some factual information on
the subject.
Regards, GL

You mean like registered GPs practicing acupuncture and Chinese herbals. If I
am not mistaken, we have some of those here in Melbourne ...
