In our town in upstate New York, several doctors provide acupuncture treatment, which is an approved treatment by several insurance carriers. Some acupuncturists are family doctors, while others are specialists like physiatry and anesthesiology. Some practice only acupuncture and they have a good practice. Once again, this suggest that the treatment works; and patients pass the word and the reputation of these doctors to their friends and acquaintances.
