The New Face of Hinduism
Will Mayawati usher in the new face of Hinduism? Will Manu have to
undergo serious surgery after a few millennium - are a couple of questions
we could idle our time with as we wait for the results of the MP elections.
Will the spirit of Dr. Ambedkar be rekindled, in his famous words - I was
born a Hindu but will not die a Hindu - be the way forward for millions of
underdogs of the caste system? If the BJP is the Mother India for the upper
castes, will Mother Mayawati be the hope of Indians of lower castes?
Whatever is your opinion on the subject, Indian society is at the
crossroads, and the caste system which is at the very heart of Hinduism will
have to be discussed at great length, from bottom to the top in the Indian
subcontinent.
Is the idea of caste scientific? You do something bad in your previous life
and you are punished in this life or you do something bad in this life and
you will be punished in the next? Is this scientific? It is said, if you put
your hand in fire you will be burnt instantly. Is this true?
