Ugddassak
Korat' (Do this in memory of them) is a musical show of songs of admired
konkani
artistes of yesteryears such as Alfred Rose, M.Boyer, Remmie Colaco, Jacinto
Vaz,
H.Britton, Mendes Bros, Wilmix, Bab Peter, S.Lemos, Rita Rose, Ophelia,

of
Bahrain. He has won several awards for his works in Bahrain as well as back
home in

'Hem Tanchea Ugddassak Korat' is a collection of konkani songs, some dating
back to
1953. "Most of the popular old songs of topmost konkani stage artistes are
hardly to
be heard these days, as they are not available in CD or DVD formats," said Mr.
Crasto, who has put up an enormous effort in compiling the lyrics and music of
these
songs. There are inquiries from konkani music lovers all over the world for
many of
the super songs of bygone years. Konkani music lovers in Bahrain will have a
chance
to enjoy these songs rendered by local artistes with recreation of original
music by
the local musicians. The show is a tribute to konkani artistes who have left
their
indelible mark on konkani music and are credited for taking konkani language
around
the world by their contributions.

Comedian Jr. Luis will provide comedy skits inbetween the songs. The show at
Pakistan club begins at 8.00 pm and tickets priced at BD: 2/= are available at
