Mopa, I believe, is another word word for landgrab and exploitation. A small state like Goa does not need another airport. The government should impress upon the Centre to shift the navy to Karwar where in any case they have large operations and hand over the Dabolim airport to the civilian authorities. Dabolim airport can be then upgraded and modernised to cater to the increased air traffic. Phillip Thomas who is more knowledgeable on this topic should be able to throw more light. However, I have not seen any postings from him on this forum for quite sometime. I trust he is fine and keeping good health.
