The letter under caption “shameful opposition” appearing on Herald dated 2nd
July by one ‘Milagrio Rodigues’ is a big fake. In the first place no Goan
Catholic has the name ‘Milagrio’ or much more been literate to write his name
erroneously. Secondly, no Goan Catholic would state: “Let us, Goan Christians,
take the teachings…”. The author is a non-Goan and a non-Catholic.
It has been noticed that many such fake letters, some in support of
illegalities like Offshore Casinos, Ordinance to favour Cidade de Goa, Mega
Projects, ‘development’ projects and also against public outcry, are being
published in our dailies.
