How can Roland Francis say people who are coming to goa from India are
'trash'.
Haven't Goans from time imemorial gone to other parts of the world to work,
Kenya, Aden, the Gulf. Are they considered 'trash' in those countries. Are
the goans living abroad not 'trash', according to people oof those
countries. Aren't goans, indians or are they a different species. Is Goa a
continent, a country or is it a State of India.
Goa has the second highest per capita income, second to Punjab.
Any foreigner buying a property in goa has to prove that he is staying for
more than 180 days in our financial year which is April-March. The reason
why foreigners are coming to live in India its because they can live a
better life then in their own countries. their money goes a long way.
Foreigners are paying their domestic staff Rs. 5,000/- a day, can a normal
Indian pay that in goa. they may be able to pay that kind of salary in the
metros, because you earn that kind of a salary.
Haven't people from east europe migrated to western europe. Are they
considered 'trash' in those countries.
Roland, where ever you're living are'nt you an 'immigrant'.As for education
we Indians, especially in the fieldof Economics are in 'par;' with anyone of
the western world. Also in advertising. David Oglivy of Oglivy and Benson,
in his book referred to the then head of OBM, Mani Aiyer as 'my Indian
partner' and praised him.
The 'trash' as Roland Francis called us Indians, they are the ones who are
in construction, collect your garbage,etc. If they weren't there, who would
do these jobs. Are Goans prepared to do these jobs, No.
Let me say, after the Delhiwallas, the most obnoxious and rude people on the
streets are the Goans, and its not me a Goan who is commenting, its others
