When evolution itself was an accident, which started from a mass explosion of a heavenly body in space, which triggered off evolution, why do we think human and human birth is otherwise ? We could have been anything from an amebic cell to apes to the most complex humans. So first and foremost we are humans by accident itself. Ghanti's can be taken as a derogatory term but it can also be used to denote the habitat of people living around the Ghatts, we know it's a sensitive term, but if I am a pig-eater, I wouldn't mind being called a pig-eater, because I eat and like eating the damned thing in the first place ! Otherwise wouldn't I be a hypocrite ? Now it is indeed very interesting to note that a literary figure of your status should call the term "Goan interests" vague, we all know of the three "F" that interests Goans, Fish, Feni and Football though there could be a lot more, but at this point in time the real interests for Goans are very rightly mentioned by thyself in the form of education, health, culture etc, having the wisdom of Solomon one shouldn't play dumb in the first place. It is indeed pathetic that our elected representatives show no interest in developing these very important fields which will lead us to development, on the contrary negative development is entrapped, enticed and enhanced for personal gains and that's the evil that we are fighting today. With illegal mining and mega housing, our corrupt politicians keep on soaring up their stocks and at the same build up unhealthy vote banks, distributing ration card and voting rights to every Tom, Dick and Harry that comes into Goa, without trying to improve their living conditions, which exerts further pressure on the already stretched to the limit infrastructure. Illegal mining has devastated our forests, wild life, water bodies and our ecology, mega housing has destroyed hills, fields, wells and ponds, and for what purpose ? These two evils have brought in the third, influx of uncontrolled migrants. Stop mega housing and illegal mining and the honeycomb will be left dry without honey, so there will be no reason to come running to Goa in hoards. We all are aware of the strain on our infrastructure so why not voice it ? I am sure you will not support illegal mining and mega housing, so let's fight to stop these two evils first and we won't have to bother about the third, if your are so sensitive about migrants. As mentioned we are not against migrants, it's the influx that needs to be curtailed and controlled. It's very much true that these diversions are created by our politicians so that while we are busy debating and fighting between ourselves they get to feather their nests even further. So if we have the knowledge and the wisdom of Solomon around why not put it to constructive use ?
