I don't usually respond to anything Rajan Parrikar has to say but I have to
correct this martyred statement of his. Indians are humiliated in Saudi Arabia
not because they are Hindus but because the Arabs routinely humiliate everyone
they perceive to be making a beeline to their shores with a begging bowl, so
rest assured everyone gets the same treatment on Arab shores. Sort of what you
are proposing we do to the "ghattis" that come to Goa.
And while we are on the subject of humiliations may the Indian government also
protest the treatment dalits receive at the hands of Hindu Brahmins, not to
mention the treatment Muslims and Christians receive at the hands of fringe
groups.
No one holds the upper moral ground in this world. Not even you, with you mouth
which needs a good rinsing with Persil.
Best,
selma
