Dear All,
Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India has
commissioned Centre for Environment Education (CEE) to hold public
consultations with Fishermen Federations, NGOs, CBOs and other
stakeholders across the country to get their views/opinions on the
review committee report on CMZ 2008.
CEE is holding 5 consultations each in Mumbai, Goa, Cochin, Chennai
and Bhubaneswar where the Hon. Minister for Environment and Forests,
Government of India has agreed to be part of it.
The Goa Consultation is scheduled on 30th August 2009 (Sunday).
Venue: Fr. Agnel Ashram, Opposite Padre Conceicao College of
Engineering, Verna, Salcette, Goa (Note: The venue is 5kms from Madgao
towards Panaji) Timing: 02 PM to 06 PM.
I request the concerned groups and individual to participate in the
consultation and contribute towards making the coastal regulation more
