My dear Bernado Thank you for your kind words. It would be great to see one Goan organisation rather than 3.5 that are presently operating in Melbourne. Melbourne has around circa 12,000 Goans and of late we have had young Goans Studying in our universities whom I have met in our last World Goa Day 2009.
The best thing that we can do is to stop being self appointed "Auditors". If only Goans can unite wherever we are, then only some progress can be achieved. Many of us lack commonsense and education unfortunately does not give us that. We Goans should make an attempt to remove ouselves from the revolving door syndrome and cease from those knee jerk reactions. We need to practice Christ rather than just attend Masses to clear our guilt trips. I believe we have three tier Goans - Goans from Goa, Goans from Mumbai/Pakistan and Goans from Africa. Goan organisations should not have hierarchy as having one impedes the purpose for which an organisation has been formed. There should be A position of just a Chairperson and others should be just committee members. If we try this we can successful. Nosso povo não sabe o que eles querem. Estamos muito confuso e estão ocupados fofocando em festas particulares Um abraco Oscar C. Lobo.
