Impart primary education in mother tongue: Parrikar

PANAJI: Leader of the opposition Manohar Parrikar has highlighted the
importance of imparting primary education to children in their mother
tongue to imbibe in them good sanskars right from their childhood and
also to give a proper shape to their future career.

Parrikar was speaking as a chief guest at the valedictory function of
the silver jubilee celebration of Shree Hanuman Vidhyalaya at Valpoi,
in Sattari taluka on Sunday.

Speaking further, Parrikar said that primary education in the mother
tongue will help children to make their future mentally and physically
strong and also help in their all round growth and development. He
said there is a need to give proper motivation and encouragement to
students to prepare them to excel in the educational field and compete
in national competitive exams. In this direction teachers have a vital
role to play in preparing and moulding students and making them
responsible citizens of tomorrow.

Parrikar complimented Shree Hanuman Vidhyalaya for its outstanding
services in imparting quality education to students since its
inception which, he revealed indicated the dedicated efforts put in by
the teachers. Meritorious students of the school were felicitated by
Parrikar on the occasion. He also released a souvenir brought out by
the school.

Sadashiv Velingkar, secretary and Shripad Patnekar, headmaster also
spoke on the occasion. Narahari Haldankar, ex-MLA, Shankarao
Phadatare, vice president and other members of the school were present
on the occasion.

Dr Premanand Dalal, president of the school, welcomed the gathering
and Ratandeep Pednekar proposed the vote of thanks.
