*Faith Healing.*

Of course, Alfred! We had a lot of respect for Sacrula. I was alwayspuzzled
why our schoolboy colleagues from Mapusa, and the othervillages, failed to
understand the man :-)Btw, there is a rare photo of the "Pope of All
Religions" in, I think, one of Goanetter Joseph St Anne's books on Goa.

No, it would not be right to suggest that Albert is "another...preacher". I
guess he's just a guy with his views, even if they mightnot tally with the
aggressive non-belief we often see flaunted thesedays :-

Joao observes: I agree. Faith healing is real, even atheists believein it!
They may not believe in God but they may have faith in some cure or other!
Some people may believe in Jesus, others in Mary, still others in the
Ganges, and others in the house cobra. It works! That is why doctors
sometimes prescribe placebos which work if we can convince the patient - the
believer - to believe in it, whatever the disease and treatment. Diseases
are not limited to the body alone but are body-mind. Tell the mind something
(that is, believe in something or someone!) and the body will follow ....
Maybe, nature cure is better and more accurate term than faith healing. But
what's in a term, eh? Cheers!
