After suggesting to George Pinto that he write a letter protesting the handling
of the despicable behavior of Fr. Henry Willenborg and his superiors, shown
below is my own letter to the Franciscan Friars, a copy of which was also
forwarded to the Archdiocese of St. Louis, MO.

FROM: Mario Goveia
TO: The Archdiocese of St. Louis!

Shown below is my message to the Franciscan Order regarding the sickening news
of Fr. Henry Willenborg and his long standing abuse of a woman and her son as
well as the teachings of the Church. I would like to know if the St. Louis
Diocese knew about him all these years and why no one did anything to stop this
manifest evil, aided and abetted by the Franciscan Friars. I would also like to
know if there were other Catholic Dioceses that either knew or should have know
about his heinous actions all these years:

Dear Sirs,

As a practicing Catholic who has a cousin who is a Franciscan Friar in India,
the news report of Father Henry Willenborg's affair(s) and now the death of his
son, made me sick.

What was equally sickening was the fact that the Franciscan Order knew about
his evil actions and did not stop him, even paid for them to continue for
decades.

Shame on all of you for allowing this evil to continue with your knowledge for
so long.

Fr. Willenborg and the Franciscan superiors who were complicit in his crimes
should be excommunicated immediately if the Church has any chance of regaining
the credibility it has lost from this despicable incident.

Sincerely,
Mario Goveia
