A public meeting was organised by the affected people of tulaskar wadi,
dadachea
wadi,nagzarim, cansarvonem belonging
to pednem taluka at dadeshwar temple premises at nagzarim to protest against
the
acquisition of agricultural land along with
part of their villages and houses.
The road of width 160 mts and a approx length of 8 km is proposed to be
acquired as
approach road for the mopa airport .
In a well attended meeting mr sandip kambli said that government should
understand
the relation between man and land
before acquiring land for any project as for the farmers land is like part of
their
family and taking
it away from them is like uprooting a tree from the ground. The land acquisition
process
for the airport is on hold as it is in high court then why acqyire land for the
approach road, it is like putting the bullock before the cart
. Till date nobody has informed the villagers of the amount of land to be
acquired ,
nor they have asked them if they are willing to part with the land, but
a notice is being issued directly to individuals stating that govt intends to
take
possesion of their
land specified in the govt notification 22/22/2008rd dt 25/7/08, published in
off
gazzette sr 2 no 19 pages 437- 470og 6th aug 2009.
The people are informedto give details of their land for compensation. The
airpot is
private built by GMR group and locals will not be benefited but their lands
will be
snatched away.
The airport as per report submitted by govt states that for the airport to be
profitable it needs the IT PARK,
ICE city (for ice skating ), golf courses, numerous 5 star hotels, sports city
and
all other gizmos, individually
the mopa airport cannot be profitable. which airport in india is making profits
other than the metro city airports.
Internationally only airports having a dedicated airline to park their fleets
are
making profits.We will not part
with our dear land for any such project.
A noted teacher Mr Ramesh Gawas spoke that farming community people have to
protect
their land for the future generations as without land
they will become vagabonds as like the migrant labour that come from
karnataka, who
are exploited
and will have no social standing in their own village. One has to rise up and
protest against these unwanted projects which will not be of
any help to the people. Who among you will travel in flights, all these
projects are
for the rich
and giving land for these project is a waste instead we should develop
agriculture
and follow the footsteps of our forefathers
who tilled these lands and grew all the fruit bearing trees which helped us
economically. Our politicians should be pro people and not anti people as they
get
elected
with the votes of the people .The govt should immediate drop the idea of making
the
people of pernem landless
and instead promote agriculture which is more people freindly , and with global
warming and receding rivers in the north goa can be a good place
to promote agriculture which can then supply grains to the north india which
may
have drought as rivers like ganga,
yamuna etc will disappear.
Mr digamber Tulaskar mentioned that with road acquisition is done mentionong
public
purpose 160 mts wide road is no where in the world
and only in goa . The land sharks will grab the land for personal projects like
hotels, buildings,etc.The people will
be paid rs 5 or 8/- and the govt in turn sell to bidders for lakhs as done in
other
places like GIDC, or margao market complex.
At the end of the impressive meeting all voices echoed that no one is ready to
part
with the land.
