It is indeed understandable for Politicians to support large scale migration into Goa, because it's certainly their bread and butter, but others who know the present situation and the adverse affects of it on Goa and Goans and still support it, well the only thing that comes to mind is, probably they too have some political aspirations for the future and hence building up their base. Every time there is a mention of migrants, some people seem to jump out of their underwears and expose themselves bare, to let people think they are the only holy ones who care about other human beings and the rest are inhuman, hard hearted creatures this world could do without. In which case, the few luminaries would be left alone with hoards of migrants in Goa. What a situation ? Ali Baba and bang.... I mean gang, along with the migrants tearing Goa to shreds and feeding it to outsiders and the luminaries enjoying the scene with a dose of "aarak" from the neighbouring state. Who cares about the sufferings of Goans, people all over the world are suffering, so since we are better off than most, why not suffer a little or more, for the sake of our less fortunate brethren and accommodate them, even if our natural recourses and infrastructures are inadequate or bursting at seams. Goans are know to be compassionate and a generous lot, so lets not rapture our reputation but keep it intact. Let the influx continue ! With the influx of migrants, crime rate has not increased, water problems have not magnified, sanitation problems have improved, truck load of swords have not come to Goa, bomb making material has not crossed Goa borders, Shanties on plains and cumunidade land are just not visible, monsters like the Chimbel hill, Monti dongor, Zuari Nagar and Kharebandh do not exist, we have had no communal flare-ups, bombs have not exploded and most of all our labour problems have been solved, so cheer up guys, give these luminaries a break, it's not all that bad, yes, of course, it could have been worse. What have our very own Goan politicians done, other take corruption to new heights ? A migrant ministry in the Vidhan Sabha could probably give us better governance and the luminaries could always be their advisers and promoters. Sure worth a try, what more can we loose ? Goa is almost lost !!!!
