Hudini's On The Rise In Goa
At one time I was really very proud of the Goa police, because some of the most wanted men in India or even the world, were apprehended in Goa and now, even the most high profile personalities manage to slip through their fingers and vanish into thin air just like that, infront of their very eyes and our police seem to be sitting there like envelopes without any addresses on them. If such high profile personalities can make themselves disappear so effortlessly, what about the unknown terrorists, who could strike and vanish at will ? My confidence has certainly taken a beating. Call it inefficiency, call it apathy of the police or call it plain magic, Hudini's are most certainly on the rise in Goa. Last year it was infamous son of our famous education Minister who did the Hudini act for more than a month, now it is John Fernandes who has just turned invisible. Is it my paranoia or is it just plain coincidence ? Both cases seem to be linked to politicians, one way or the other and unfortunately both are alleged rape cases, looks like politics and crime are indeed become synonymous, even the great Homi Bhabha could not have put together, such deadly proponents for his nuclear combustion. There is certainly going to be holocaust in Goa. The Goa police have to pull up their socks or even their knickers, if they have any left, tighten up the girdle around their bulging midriffs, take stock of this very unfortunate, unpleasant scenario and put their act together and DO what they are suppose to do, and do it with efficiency, before the vultures from all over the world, come to know about our good for nothing, inefficient bungling lawmen and rain-in, to make Goa a formidable crime citadel of their own.
