As Barros-Pereira puts it well, it does not matter when Jesus was born.
Personally speaking: the facts, and they are good --- is that I was formed
in India among many old life traditions; coupled with certain basic
Christian
concepts. One is still being formed.

As Thomas Merton says in, Seeds of Contemplation:
Memory is corrupted and ruined by a crowd of "memories". If I am going
to have a true memory, there are a thousand things that must first be
forgotten.
Memory is not fully itself when it reaches into the past. A memory that is
not alive to the present does not "remember" its true identity, is no memory

at all. He who remember nothing but the facts and past events, and is never
brought back into the present, is a victim of amnesia.
