In Goa, we see various political & business leaders taking about saving the
environment. It is high time these leaders stop talking and start acting; or
if they cannot act they should at least stop abetting the large scale
destruction of Goa via Hill cutting, Illegal conversions of land
particularly agricultural, support for mega-projects, in-discriminate
mining, sanctioning un-necessary industries/projects that favour employment
to outsiders and of course; help these leaders realise huge
illegitimateprofits via bribes,
kickbacks. One only needs to drive around Goa and see how these hypocrites,
are saying one thing but actually destroying Goa for greed. It’s also good
that religious leaders have now concerned about the destruction of Goa's
Ecology & Environment; perhaps they could use their respectable positions to
spread awareness, address violations, convince their flocks to unite &
positively act to save our beautiful land!!
