I too remember the millet the Africans used to grow in Kenya - local name: WIMBI. As Gabe points out, the Africans enjoyed the local brew (pombe) from this grain. Our cook regularly brought us WIMBI flour whenever he went to his home in the reserve. That's when I used to enjoy my "TIZAN'(tisan) like I did during my youth in Goa!
