Looks like this geology graduate gets his scientific information only from 
newspaper columnists and bureaucrats. For those who would prefer to look at 
real scientific data, instead, here are the actual monthly temperature 
anomalies for 2009 and all prior years since 1880:

These data are from NASA's Goddard Center. Please plot these values using your 
spreadsheet program and see for yourself.
