Follow Me by Fr Nascimento released at Margao

The third book of Fr Nascimento Mascarenhas of the ‘Follow Me’ series
covering the churches of Mormugao and Salcete was released recently by
Fr Ventura Lourenco, parish priest of Holy Spirit Church, Margao in the
presence of Mr Michael Mascarenhas, brother of Fr Nascimento.
Also present were Fr Valmiki Dias, Fr Arnolfo Mazarello and other
dignitaries at Holy Spirit Church, Margao.
Fr Nascimento Mascarenhas thanked the people for their support and
encouragement. Fr Ivo da Conceicao Souza, ex-professor of the
patriarchal Seminary of Rachol and also companion of Fr Nascimento in
the seminary, said that he really admires the wonderful work done by Fr
Nasco. What Msgr Francisco Xavier Gomes Catao has bequeathed us in the
realm of the history of the Church in Goa has been persistently carried
on by Fr Nasco. This is a real asset for future generations, Fr Ivo said.
Mr Valmiki Faleiro, columnist, said the painstaking collation of
information in diverse languages and sources scattered across Portugal,
Rome and Goa. Every fact has been carefully referenced.
Fr Arnolfo Mazarello, ex- rector of the patriarchal Seminary of Rachol
appreciated the patient work, attention to detail and the accuracy and
clarity of mind Fr Nascimento has displayed in the book.
The hardbound book is deliberated priced very reasonably, so that it can
be widely read and circulated.
