Dear Joel,

I have always admiree your consciousness for a clean Goa. And needless to say that you write about pertinent issues.
But unfortunately, I do not see you offering solutions.
Maybe if you look at Herald of 26, you will find something about PPS.
I would be more than happy if you make time and attend the scheduled 9th May core meeting of the PPS at Grace Church, Margao at 4.30.

People like you are tailor made for PPS. Pls look at it favourably and help it to grow to avert the Tsunami that you are talking about.

Cheers

Hem amchem Goem?
Our illegal elected government is seriously thinking to free Goa from so called illegal religious structures. The 400 years old, strongly standing Verna Church has also been tagged as illegal, does it make any sense? Is the Garbage at Sonsoddo, River Princess off coast of Candolim legal? What about numerous illegal structures supported by politicians in Power? Are the three bridges in salcette by the PWD minister necessary on priority basis when the bypass road is the need of the hour for the mining traffic at Quepen and Sanvordem? The discharge of the sewage during day light in the world famous Colva beach is legal? The two coastal M.L.A’s, Mr. Alemao and Mr. Pacheco remained silent on the issue. The Sewage floating near Kudcharkar Hospotal at Navelim legal? The Digamber Kamat government is least bothered about the nature. The M.L.A’s in power are happy as long as they get their percentage. If they try to save the nature they will lose their share .In my historic village of Cuncolim, Fields conversion are in full swing in the name of development and if the same continues time will tell us how nature can act against us without an warning. People in power is not concerned about the environment ,they believe in destruction in the name of development but the day is not very far when nature will destroy our destruction and we will have no time to run for safety. Is the building exactly opposite to Hospicio, Margao is legal if Hospicio cannot be renovated or expanded because it is
on the roadside?
