Dear All, Dr Anessimo Fernandes finally wrote on goanet:
This was not my project in any way. The money was given for the Movement Against SEZ for the Rally In panjim and not to Goa Suraj.Floriano told me that part of the money was used for transport and he would give a receipt. As far as the Rest of the money is concerned, i did not bother to ask back as i felt it could be used for some good cause. ...................... Anessimo In light of this, I need to make a few corrections to my earlier posts. Floriano Lobo previously claimed that arranging transport for people attending GMAs rally was Dr Fernandes's idea. We now have heard from the man himself that it was not 'his project'. Dr Fernandes now says that Floriano Lobo told him that part of the money was used for transport and he *WOULD *give receipt. Floriano Lobo claims he did give a receipt and he has even given receipt number although a photocopy scanned and published would have been nice. Dr Fernandes also says he did not ask for the rest of the money as he flet ( a thorough gentleman that he is) that it could be used for some good cause. He also says that money was not given for Goa Suraj. However, the receipt that Floriano Lobo claims he gave to Dr Fernandes shows that money was in fact accepted by Goa Suraj. Intriguing, is it not? Little did poor Dr Fernandes know that our upright, honest, decent, secular and extraordinarily skilled politician would take the remainder Rs 3000 to his political party and plan to spend it on collecting colorectal waste from goa and export it. We do not know whether Dr Fernandes would approve of this scheme. Now friends, I suppose it is decision time - leave communal, RSS-BJP- MGP man Anil Desai to one side . Who would you believe? Floriano Lobo who has twisted himself in knots over this or Dr Fernandes? Would you think Floriano Lobo could publish his party's accounts on Goanet or on this list and clear this matter and his and his party's name once and for all? That should show Rs 3000 credited to the party's account in december 2007. I for one am happy to accept that Rs 12000 was paid to 'my friend Marshall' although the payments and receipts seen in the party accounts could put proper end to this affair and we could then all be free to ' Save Goa'. and Newly qualified medicolegal expert JC will not have to then spend time on exploring the vagaries of libel law and he will be free to defend Micky's admission to ITU because he complained of chest pain.
