I have been a subscriber to 'goanet' since 2000, if not earlier. That makes
it solid ten years.
I had taken note of this 'Noise' post but had discarded it as the necessary
evil, when sometimes topics of no relevance to Goa and Goans were being
stretched endlessly. I too have felt this way many a times.
However this particular post on 'Noise' was bugging the rear of my mind
for a while, until I could not pass it off as one of those things.
I think the "noise' refered to is the [Goanet] Goa in the gutter ( addendum)
In defense of Admin Noronha
If that is so, all I want to say is: here is the reputation and clean
sheet, this forward looking political party of Goa has mananged to keep in
all the 10 years of its existence is sought to be soiled and degraded by
malicious machinations by persons opposed to its good standing without rhime
or reason. It is another thing that this political party is yet to make its
mark in the Goan Electoral process. This is mainly because Goan society (
which is being swiftly diluted to become a non-entity) is still shackled to
the 'corrupt' and 'communal' ideologies because it does not aspire for 'the
change' which will save its guts from being spilled, to tear the shackles
away and be free but want to remain bound tight and proper. Perhaps this
is axactly what it wants.
And perhaps all it wants to do is to talk about FROGS and SNAKES on goanet.
Well done Goa. Let the 'frogs' and the 'snakes' who have been 'croaking'
and 'stinging' Goa's sensibilities since 1961 find their way into the Goa
Legislative Assembly come 2012, once again and continue until Goans can call
their GOA as GOA no more.
And at Goa Su-Raj, we thought we could bank on the forward looking Goa's
gen-next.
And I would like to request Goanet Admin to un-subscribe me in case 'frogs'
and 'snakes' are going to have their way on this much admired and relied
upon 'forum' that has worked for Goa and Goans for many a years since its
putting together, because it will give me more time to concentrate on other
things more vital.

In the last few weeks, I've simply been deleting goanet emails after
just scanning the headers. I dont have the slight interest in all the
petty fights going on for weeks and months now.
The trolls appear to have taken roost at Goanet, and instead of becoming
a place where meaningful discussion takes place, its a free for all with
abuse, name calling and pulling each other down.
Admins, please moderate such comments from known trolls. I, as many
others probably, have even considered un-subscribing from Goanet, as the
noise ratio has gone up so much that it makes searching for normal
emails just too much of an effort.
