Colva gram sabha says no sewage line, no new licences 2010-07-12 The Colva village gram sabha unanimously resolved that no license should be granted to multi-housing units and commercial projects until the government finds a solution to the sewage and garbage problem. The gram sabha asked the panchayat to keep all applications for construction licences in Colva village pending.
The gram sabha also passed a resolution to set up a sewage line in the village to take care of sewage treatment and disposal. The subject of composting units was taken up because due to public opposition, no places can be found for setting up the units.
