Only Micky had the guts and could say it: ".... minority leaders from this
House have been arrested and put in jail.......... by the same minister and the
same cop." Digmabar was quick to bestow upon himself the sainthood. I remember
when the same Home Minister was CM of Goa in the early nineties and interfered
with the communidade of Serula, we opposed it and the CM was then understood to
have told the cops, " He khursache lok, tankam bhitor uddoi."
That is what I have been saying on goanet a month ago ever since Micky's
tamasha made headlines. I have also told it some years ago to a national
Congress Minority leader from Nagpur who was down in Goa as an observer for the
elections; "the headquarters of the Goa BJP is at Congress House in Panjim. It
is like Pepsi and Coke, contents same and labels different." Several Congress
leaders are actually sympathetic to the fundamentalist forces but pretend to be
minority lovers. The hub of Goa's communalism is within the so classified
'cultural institution' of Margao. 'Samata' ani 'asmitai' are what they fart.
