Jim, Your comments above display an amazing lack of knowledge of the subject you want to write about. At the best, you have been misinformed, at the worst, you are deliberately misinforming others here. Either way, you have definitely embarrassed yourself. > 4. The geographic location, the IP address, the time, the PC it was sent from, are all embedded in every message you send. There are other things embedded too. Other interesting things that the authorities find invaluable. Someone suggested the other day that people were saving draft messages on an ID and getting someone else to open it at another address. They claimed that since the message was not sent from one place to another, no one could intercept it. This too is incorrect. The moment anything enters a server, a record is kept and is available. As an example, there are several tools, available for free, where I can check out every website that you have visited in the past ten years. > 5. It has got to be a real retarded organization that will bar employees from using the internet. The progressive organization will actually encourage its employees to use the internet to drum up business. In fact, increasing, employers are encouraging their employees to use social networking avenues to spread the message(s) of their firms. At some places, there are entire departments using social networks to spread the message of the organization. As for those who use their employers recourse's illegally, maybe they do deserve what the company promised them.
